'Best Sellers' by O.Henry

The author meets his old acquaintance John.A. Pescud while going to a place on the train. John describes how he fell in love with Jessie Allyn the daughter of Colonel Allyn, A lineal descendant of the belted Earls. His own love-story defies his claim that 'Bestsellers are unrealistic where the hero marries Women of higher status people,But in the real life marry they look for someone of same status, and here the story of John is not much different than that of the stories in Bestsellers, As the common businessman had married the daughter of a descendant of Earls. Hence the perfect title 'Best seller'.

Following questions were asked:
1.Where was John Pescud going when the author met him the second time? What for?
2.Why did Pescud think of going back to the village and get posted by the postmaster?
3.Why did John register at Hotel Bay View House?
4.Neither Jessie nor her father inquired John why he was following them. Why?
5.What do you understand about the best seller, Rose Lady and Travelyan?
